We are almost half way through our 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting. You’ve taken the first week to focus on your personal relationship with Christ, and this week you have been focusing on your relationships with others, especially your family, Life Group, and church. As a result, you’ve been seeking God about specific ways you can elevate your life, your walk with God, and your commitment to your spouse, children, church family, and others. Hopefully, you’ve took the time to journal your thoughts and set some action steps in place. Ideally this exercise will culminate with you being able to set some very practical life goals for the rest of 2012. As a matter of fact, the weekend of Jan. 28/29 I’ll share a teaching on how to develop a life plan.
This weekend’s teaching is focused on elevating your influence. Influence comes from the Latin word that means “to flow into.” In essence, by the way we flow into the lives of others, and they in turn flow into our lives, it is producing changes in the way we, or others think, believe, and act. That’s why influence is so powerful. It can be used for good or for bad. So, start to think about how you influence and how you are influenced, especially in regard to your relationships. Again, I’ll share more on this in the days ahead.
